Tiangong International Concludes Successful Run at Shanghai Die Casting Expo, Integrated Die-Casting Materials Earn Industry Acclaim

Date:2026-07-18

From July 15 to 17, 2026, the 20th Shanghai International Die Casting & Nonferrous Casting Exhibition (CHINA DIECASTING & CHINA NONFERROUS 2026) was grandly held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This year's exhibition reached a new scale, bringing together 653 exhibitors across halls N1 to N5, and attracting professional visitors and buyer delegations from 53 countries and regions. As a global bellwether for the die-casting industry, the exhibition showcased new materials, new processes, and new applications, with a strong focus on cutting-edge topics such as intelligent manufacturing, green low-carbon solutions, and mold innovation. Over the three-day industry event, Tiangong International Co., Ltd. made a remarkable impression with its cutting-edge technical presentations and outstanding product capabilities, concluding a highly successful exhibition.

Technical Seminar Draws Attention, TGE23 GROUPER Targets Core Pain Points of Integrated Die-Casting

During the exhibition, Tiangong International's technical team delivered high-level professional presentations to the on-site audience. Dr. Richard Matthew Oliver delivered a seminar titled "TGE23 GROUPER – Designed for Integrated Die-Casting Demands." The presentation provided an in-depth analysis of global industry challenges facing large die-casting molds – including uneven heat dissipation, short service life, and thermal fatigue cracking – against the backdrop of the new energy vehicle industry's rapid shift toward integrated die-casting.

Dr. Richard Matthew Oliver introduced that Tiangong International's TGE23 product is specifically designed to address these pain points. The product has successfully obtained certification from the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA), making Tiangong International the first Chinese tool and mold steel enterprise to receive this honor. This certification marks the official entry of Chinese die-casting materials into the international core technology standards system, demonstrating that Tiangong's new tool and mold materials have reached world-class excellence and are capable of replacing imports while meeting the material requirements for large-scale integrated die-casting molds.

TGE21 Material Helps Mold Win Gold, Technological Innovation Receives Industry Recognition

Tiangong International's material strength is validated not only on a theoretical level but also in real-world applications. During the "High-Quality Casting Selection" event held concurrently with the exhibition, a dryer valve mold made from Tiangong's TGE21 material by Ningbo Beilun Daqi Hongxiang Mold Machinery Co., Ltd. stood out from numerous entries to win the "Gold Award Mold" for its exceptional performance and quality.

This year's Casting Carnival featured a total of 88 participating castings. After rigorous on-site evaluation by a specially appointed expert panel organized by the organizing committee, 15 Gold Award Castings and 15 Gold Award Molds were ultimately selected. Hongxiang Mold's award not only affirms Tiangong International's deep accumulation in mold steel material R&D but also fully demonstrates the reliability and leadership of Tiangong materials in high-end die-casting mold manufacturing.

Powder Near-Net-Shape Core Components Also Debut, Sprue Bushings and Shot Sleeves Showcase Robust Capabilities

At this exhibition, Tiangong International not only brought innovative breakthroughs in TGE23 series materials but also showcased its core component product matrix built on "powder metallurgy, built-in water channels, and near-net-shape" technology, which became a focal point at the booth. Large-size conformal cooling water-channel sprue bushings, shot sleeves, and other core components on display directly addressed the industry pain point of low cooling efficiency in traditional molds. Tiangong International innovatively combined powder metallurgy near-net-shape technology with built-in conformal cooling water-channel designs – analogous to "embedding a capillary network that conforms to the part's shape inside the mold" – with measured results showing cooling efficiency improvements of over 30% and significantly extended mold service life.

Tiangong International has achieved comprehensive technological breakthroughs across four core components: sprue bushings, shot sleeves, flow dividers, and plunger tips. The sprue bushings utilize high-density powder materials and optimized built-in water-channel designs, maintaining long-term stable operation under high-temperature, high-velocity molten metal erosion. The shot sleeves feature high inner-wall precision and smooth surface finishes, ensuring uniform and stable molten metal flow while reducing defect occurrence. Through the application of high-density powder materials and hot isostatic pressing processes, these products not only offer excellent thermal fatigue resistance and wear resistance but have already achieved mass production.

With the rapid expansion of integrated die-casting technology, the market size for high-performance near-net-shape components is expected to approach the hundred-billion-yuan level over the next five years. Tiangong International's successful conclusion at this Shanghai Die Casting Expo once again confirms the company's determination and capability to support the backbone of Chinese manufacturing with material strength. Looking ahead, Tiangong International will continue to focus on in-depth R&D into material genomics, driving the domestic substitution and high-end advancement of premium mold materials, and continuously injecting robust Chinese momentum into the global lightweight revolution of new energy vehicles.
