NPC Deputy Zhu Xiaokun Departs for Beijing to Attend the Fourth Session of the NPC

With High Spirits to the Grand Congress, Striving Vigorously Toward the Future - Zhu Xiaokun, NPC Deputy and Chairman of the Board of Tiangong International, Attends the Two Sessions in Beijing

The Fifth Session of the Thirteenth National People's Congress (NPC) will be held in Beijing on March 5. Carrying the expectations and trust of the people of Zhenjiang, Zhu Xiaokun, NPC Deputy and Chairman of the Board of Tiangong International, departed for Beijing on February 28 to attend the NPC session. Zhao Liqun, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Danyang Municipal People's Congress, along with other leaders, attended the farewell ceremony. They presented flowers to Zhu Xiaokun, extending their warm congratulations and best wishes. They expressed their hope that he would fully exercise his rights as a deputy in accordance with the law, diligently deliberate on all the motions and reports of the congress, fulfill the glorious mission of a NPC deputy, and effectively voice the wishes and concerns of the people. They also urged him to gain a thorough understanding of the spirit of the congress, bring back its key guidance, and contribute to accelerating high-quality development in Danyang. During this NPC, Zhu Xiaokun submitted four proposals concerning industrial development priorities, export tax rebates and rural revitalization. His proposals include: manufacturing high-alloy and powder steel products manufactured from scrap steel, extending the value-added tax (VAT) immediate levy-and-refund policy for comprehensive resource utilization, strict controlling market prices of electricity and other energy sources, supporting manufacturing enterprises, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, permitting the lawful use of medium-frequency furnaces, rolling mills and forging equipment for producing high-end special steel products, supporting technological upgrades for energy conservation, facilitating approvals for energy, environmental and safety assessments, enhancing rural revitalization efforts, increasing R&D investment to breakthrough international “bottleneck” technologies, encouraging exports of high-end steel products, and continuing to implement export tax rebates for products in the steel sub-sectors. As one of the few NPC deputies from private enterprises in Jiangsu Province and the sole entrepreneur representative from Zhenjiang, Zhu Xiaokun emphasized the weighty responsibility of his role. He pledged to faithfully fulfill the duties and missions of an NPC deputy, bear in mind the people's great trust, diligently execute his sacred responsibilities as a people’s representative with unwavering political enthusiasm and pragmatic work attitude, convey the opinions and suggestions he gathered during his extensive visits to local enterprises and people in the early stage, speak up for Zhenjiang, and fully demonstrate the mental outlook of Zhenjiang's representatives.
