Supporting Education through Financial Aid & Scholarships - Tiangong International Signs Donation Agreement with Nanjing Normal University

        To celebrate the 120th anniversary of Nanjing Normal University (NNU) and further support the development of various undertakings of the university, Tiangong International and Nanjing Normal University signed a new donation agreement on the afternoon of August 24. Over the next decade, Tiangong International will donate an additional RMB 12.5 million to Nanjing Normal University for student assistance and scholarship programs, contributing to the development of educational causes. Guo Jian, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the donation ceremony and delivered a speech. The ceremony was presided over by Yuan Linwang, Vice President of NNU, with participants including Wang Chengbin (Party Secretary of NNU), Hua Guihong (President of NNU), Zhu Xiaokun (Chairman of the Board of Tiangong International), and Zhu Zefeng (Chief Executive Officer).

        Prior to the ceremony, Chairman Zhu Xiaokun, accompanied the attending leaders on a visit to the History Exhibition Hall of Tiangong International, and personally introduced the development history of the Company. After witnessing the development achievements of Tiangong and listening to its history, the leaders highly praised Tiangong's innovative development.

        During the ceremony, Zhu Xiaokun, Chairman of Tiangong International, and Hua Guihong, President of NNU, signed the donation agreement. Nanjing Normal University presented a gift to Tiangong International and awarded a donation certificate.

        In his address, Zhu Xiaokun stated that Tiangong’s donation to NNU was motivated by two main reasons. First, it was an effort to contribute within their capacity to the advancement of education, expressing gratitude to the Party for creating the favorable era of reform and opening-up. This also represents Tiangong's commitment to fulfilling its responsibility in showing appreciation for the times and the nation. Second, he expressed a deep passion for the teaching profession and a particular fondness for NNU. He sincerely wished all students at NNU academic success, and encouraged them to appreciate the era, contribute to the nation, and continue passing on the knowledge and spirit.

        Wang Chengbin, Party Secretary of NNU, stated in his address that: “Tiangong excels in craftsmanship and embodies humanistic values in business. Under the leadership of Chairman Zhu Xiaokun, Tiangong has pursued excellence and strove for perfection. With meticulous craftsmanship, it has refined its products and expanded its market with ambition. The remarkable achievements it has made in the industry have impressed us. We are equally moved by its proactive approach to social responsibility, its commitment to employee welfare, and its dedication to contributing to societal development through its growth.” Secretary Wang Chengbin highlighted that Tiangong first established the “Tiangong Development Financial Aid and Scholarship” at NNU in 2007. This scholarship was designed to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in completing their education. During the first round (2007-2016), Tiangong International provided financial assistance to 210 students, with total disbursements reaching RMB 3.35 million. The second round (2017-2026) of the “Tiangong Development Financial Aid and Scholarship” was signed in Danyang in July 2016, with an annual donation of RMB 500,000, totaling RMB 5 million.

         This donation marked the third round of financial support from Tiangong International to the NNU, with the cumulative donation amount reaching RMB 12.5 million. He said that to commemorate the profound friendship between Tiangong and the NNU, as the university was about to celebrate its 120th anniversary, the university decided to permanently name a standalone building in the Xianlin campus as “Tiangong Building” with permanent identification signage to express great gratitude to Tiangong International for its strong support in the cultivation of talents and the development of the university. Additionally, the NNU will align with Tiangong's industrial strategy to actively explore better services and provide matching talents to join Tiangong and help Tiangong's development. In his speech, Guo Jian, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Zhenjiang Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference, said that Zhu Xiaokun has always been an entrepreneur with strong commitment and humility. Even amid challenging conditions such as the pandemic and economic uncertainties, he extended support to sponsor students of the NNU. He also highlighted that Tiangong International has consistently focused on talent development, technological innovation, and industry-academia-research collaboration to propel industrial advancement in the city. “What impressed me deeply," he noted, "is the EU anti-dumping and countervailing case. Tiangong stepped forward as an industry representative to defend itself and achieved success. This demonstrates that Tiangong is a company with a strong sense of mission.”
