Tiangong International Equipment Donation Ceremony Is Held at Zhongbei University

Promoting the Establishment of On-Campus Production-Oriented Training and Testing Base - Tiangong International Equipment Donation Ceremony Held at Zhongbei College

 

         On the morning of September 6, 2022, the industry-education cooperation exchange and equipment donation ceremony between Tiangong International and Zhongbei College was successfully held at the college. Attendees included Zhu Zefeng (Chief Executive Officer of Tiangong International), Bai Shiguo (Head of the Human Resources Department), Chang Qing (Executive Vice Dean of Nanjing Normal University Zhongbei College), and Zhong Wenhui (Vice Dean of Zhongbei College), as well as relevant responsible persons from the Academic Affairs Office and the Department of Engineering of Zhongbei College. Executive Vice Dean Chang Qing extended a warm welcome to Zhu Zefeng, CEO of Tiangong International, and his delegation.


         At the industry-education integration exchange and discussion meeting, Chang Qing, Executive Vice Dean of Zhongbei College, first expressed his gratitude to Tiangong for its consistent care and support towards Nanjing Normal University. He provided a detailed introduction to the academic programs, educational orientation, and faculty resources of Zhongbei College. He emphasized the college’s educational philosophy was centered on serving the development of local enterprises. Both parties present highly agreed with it. Zhu Zefeng, Chief Executive Officer of Tiangong International, expressed strong agreement with the college’s educational direction and service philosophy. He stated that Tiangong’s support for Nanjing Normal University was provided without seeking any return, as it fulfilled Tiangong’s social responsibility. He also thanked Nanjing Normal University and Zhongbei College for their recognition of Tiangong, and hoped to receive greater support from Zhongbei College in the talent recruitment and development at Tiangong, adding that Tiangong was willing to jointly explore new methods and mechanisms for cultivating industry-ready talents and deepen exchanges. Zhu Zefeng said that the settlement of Zhongbei College in Danyang carried significant expectations from the local community. Tiangong was willing to have more integration with Zhongbei College, and would continually promote the industry-education cooperation on the basis of maintaining sound cooperation. Tiangong International would engage in more talent development and joint research projects with Zhongbei College, adopting a pragmatic and results-oriented approach to establish a model of industry-education cooperation in Danyang.


         Both parties reached multiple consensuses on future collaboration. They agreed to accelerate the co-construction of industrial colleges to achieve multi-dimensional integration, including joint program development, mutual faculty appointments, shared teaching resources, and collaborative curriculum design. They will actively explore undergraduate talent cultivation models through industry-education partnerships, deepen educational reforms, and establish integrated industry-education teams to jointly advance curriculum reform, faculty development, specialized laboratories, internship programs, R&D initiatives, and virtual simulation capabilities. The meeting clarified plans to jointly establish an on-campus internship base and engineering training centers, collaboratively apply for materials-related academic programs, and co-cultivate outstanding talents suitable for Danyang. It also emphasized resource sharing between both parties to better serve regional economic development. Additionally, they agreed to effectively transform R&D and production challenges encountered by the enterprise into research topics, leverage all available resources to provide solutions while vigorously promoting the initiation and implementation of collaborative projects in scientific research and talent development. The meeting also proposed hosting an industry conference led by Tiangong at Zhongbei College, giving full play to the college’s relevant software and hardware resources.


         At the donation ceremony, Zhu Zefeng and Zhong Wenhui signed the donation agreement. Tiangong International donated five units of turning, milling, planing and grinding machines, along with 200 sets of training workwear to Zhongbei College. These contributions will support the practical training courses and bolster college students' innovation and entrepreneurship activities. Following the signing ceremony, representatives from both parties visited several laboratories in the Department of Engineering and took a group photo at the Engineering Training Center.
