At 8:30 AM on October 30, 2022, the Tiangong Culture and Sports Center was vibrant with fluttering flags and energetic music, as the 11th Staff Sports Games of Tiangong International commenced here grandly. The Board of Directors of Tiangong International, along with all executives, led nearly 3,000 participants - including athletes from five representative teams of the Company and employees from the plants - to attend the opening ceremony. Zhu Xiaokun, Chairman of the Board of Directors, attended and delivered the opening speech, Deputy General Manager Yan Ronghua presided over the ceremony, and General Manager Wu Suojun gave the closing remarks.
During the opening ceremony, the teams carrying the national flag, factory flags, and event banners entered the venue in formation. The members of each representative team chanted their slogans in unison while marching with vigorous strides. The dances and singing performances, self-directed and choreographed by young employees from the Tiangong Youth League Committee, drove the atmosphere to a climax.
This Staff Sports Games took two months from the notification to the athlete registration, from the preliminary rounds to the finals of each event. Nearly 500 participants competed in various events, making it the largest turnout in the Staff Sports Games’ history. The Staff Sports Games featured a total of 9 team events, 9 individual events, and 5 recreational events. Throughout the competitions, all athletes upheld the Olympic Spirit of “Faster, Higher, Stronger”, competing fairly and striving to be the first. They not only demonstrated their skills but also showcased the distinctive spirit and style of Tiangong employees.
After intense competition, the Administrative Team secured first place in the group category with a total of 132 points, the Tools Team ranked second with 117 points, and the High-Speed Steel Team came in third with 78 points. At 3:30 PM, a grand award ceremony was held to present medals and cash prizes to winners across 129 events. It is reported that the total investment for this Sports Games is about RMB 500,000, marking the highest expenditure in its history.
The 11th Staff Sports Games is not only a grand stage to showcase the spiritual outlook of all Tiangong employees, but also an important carrier for advancing Tiangong’s spiritual civilization. Through these games, the enthusiasm of our workforce has been further ignited. While vigorously promoting the Tiangong spirit and invigorating the cultural atmosphere, the event fully demonstrates the fine traditions and team spirit of Tiangong employees, such as driving to excel, collaborating unitedly, striving with courage, and maintaining a healthy and positive outlook. This sports game has strengthened the cohesion, sense of shared purpose, and combat effectiveness of the workforce. The competition and cooperation on the sports field will undoubtedly lead to a significant shift in the spiritual outlook of all Tiangong employees, inspiring them to accomplish all tasks and targets with outstanding results, fueled by the same tenacious spirit displayed in the games.
